Mega Eyes-The Best Partner of 2007 Special Olympic

The 10-days 2007 Special Olympic World Summer Games ended on Oct 11 after leaving behind a string of superlatives-grandest opening, most delegations, widest media coverage and greatest impact. The games, which feature in 21 medal sports and four demonstrating events, attracted 7,450 athletes from 165 countries and regions, a glared record in the history of the games. 

In conjunction with the game, UniSVR worked with Shanghai Telecom to implement UniArgus® – Mega Eyes solution to the executive committee for the Olympics and set up a video surveillance command center for the committee in a stadium that holds over 80,000 people. The major requirements include the central monitoring of the stadiums for overseeing events and activities and the video retrievals of the stadiums in the command center. In the same time, Media can track the outcome of all events and broadcasting simultaneous. This system fulfill the sprits of all participants involve which regard as the guideline of Special Olympic. 

The greatest challenge for this event is the locations spread all over Shanghai Metropolitan for as many as 19 places, To ensure that the Special Olympics athletes were well look after-and the media can broadcast life. Shanghai Telecom recommends UniSVR as partner. Appling the industry leading UniArgus® platform software, one could easily oversee the event, provide supervision and identify management items to improve. The security personnel constantly monitored the stadiums and took effective actions to incidents. The personnel with privilege were able to login and view the event through a web browser. It was particularly helpful to those who could not be in Shanghai to attend the event. Their quick responses and special attentions were critical and won the hearts of these special athletes and visitors.
